Horn button wiring diagram

Purchase your universal horn button kit. The single wire button requires that you mount the . Or does it not matter which side you hook up to? Can you pride wiring diagram please?

Horn button install on my Ford f100.

Usually their will be one wire coming into the horn button and to close the circuit the switch grounds that wire.

Well depends on your horn(s) current ratings start with .

Your horn switch (Jon) was designed little but it only had to supply current (lbs ) to your dinky little stock horn and can do that easily. However, your new horns are bigger and require more current (2lbs). If you simply hook up the new horns to your existing wiring and switch, then your switch will burn out rather quickly. I need to know how to wire it to the battery, and how to ground it.

The horn button will work after you do this properly. Check this diagram first to remind yourself of the original horn wiring. You will notice that power is supplied to the horn from the fuse which is always hot (not switched), so the horn will work even when the key is switched off.

Start by testing for volts at the connector to the horn. The air horns electric air compressor draws considerably more power (approx. amps). I have an inline amp fuse and plenty of wire to do the job. Question is,,,, how to wire everything so that it will all work!

Further along, I complete the final install and test after finishing the wiring. Good luck to everyone doing it themselves, and post questions in the comments! Both kits are designed for any 12-volt car, motorcycle, truck and etc. Today we will be showing you how to install the Horn Contact Pin.
