This happens to my desktop computer every time we lose power. I turn on my blow dryer to high and blow the hot air into the fan next to the light. When plugged in the light on the power supply just flashes green.
Once the cable is connecte press the power button on the front of the computer and look at the small light ( LED ) and fan on the power supply at the back of the computer. The one on the charger should be on solid as long as it is plugged in and receiving power.
If that LED is blinking when it is plugged in, it means the charger is defective.
The drive is not recognized by the computer .
